Shawn Ullman has been a strong advocate of the emerging urban health and wellness movement since founding Feel Rich in 2011. Named after his parents, Phyllis and Richard, Feel Rich was a way for Shawn to combine his passion for entertainment with his observations around the multicultural community: that there wasn’t a forum for their role models to be role models. Through Feel Rich, Shawn sees a huge opportunity for likeminded brands and companies to make a positive impact—both with and on—the multicultural community.
Shawn has received continued acknowledgement for his commitment to urban health and wellness, including sitting on the National Board of the American Heart Association, being named the Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2013, and speaking at the White House at the Washington Post’s Obesity Summit.
Quincy Jones III began producing records at the age of 13, spinning his talents into a gold-selling record when he was just 16. He went on to make his mark as a forty-time platinum-selling music producer, recording and remixing tracks for Prince, Tupac, Ice Cube, L.L. Cool J., and Lionel Ritchie, among others. Jones scored the original soundtracks for the groundbreaking films Menace II Society, Jason’s Lyric, and Gang Related, as well as featured songs on the Training Day and Office Space soundtracks. He earned big accolades scoring for the small screen, including an ASCAP Composer’s Award for episodes of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and an Emmy nomination for Eddie Murphy’s “The PJs.”
From there, Jones founded QD3 Entertainment, a production company that created acclaimed documentaries, including The Carter, Tupac Shakur: Thug Angel, and BEEF, which was created into a television series for BET. Additional film and television projects have been licensed to MTV, VH1, Showtime, Nickelodeon, and others.
